Mississauga, ONT. – The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has charged Luxury Travel Centre Inc. with one count of operating as a travel agent without being registered, four counts of failing to hold money in trust, and one count of failing to notify the Registrar of an address change.

Naroce Vignarajah has also been charged with one count of operating as a travel agent without being registered and one count of being an Officer and Director of a corporation and failing to take reasonable care to prevent the corporation from committing an offence.

Luxury Travel Centre Inc. had its registration under the Travel Industry Act, 2002 revoked on September 21, 2022.

Consumers who previously purchased travel from Luxury Travel Centre Inc. have until Wednesday, March 22, 2023, to file a claim under the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund. Click here for details.

Naroce Vignarajah will appear in court on April 14, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at 60 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario.

Individuals convicted in Court of offences relating to the Travel Industry Act, 2002 are subject to fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years. Corporations are subject to fines of up to $250,000.
