Mississauga, ONT. – On April 1, 2021 the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) charged Kristin Evensen with the following:

  • One count of holding herself out as being available to act as a travel agent without first being registered as a travel agent by the Registrar contrary to section 4(1) of the said Act.
  • One count of being an Officer and Director of a corporation (Back Tie Travel Ltd.) and failing to take reasonable care to prevent the Corporation from committing an offence

In addition, Black Tie Travel Ltd. was charged with acting or holding itself out as being available to act as a travel agent without first being registered as a travel agent by the Registrar contrary to section 4(1) of the said Act. 

Ms. Evensen will appear in court at 60 Queen Street West, (Old City Hall) Toronto, Ontario on June 11, 2021 at 1:30pm.

Black Tie Travel Ltd. was previously registered with TICO but voluntarily terminated their  registration on October 31, 2018.
