October 2, 2025 - TICO Board approves Compensation Fund claims to support consumers affected by agency closure
Mississauga, ONT. – On September 25, 2025, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO) Board of Directors approved two claims against the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund totalling $330 to assist two consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.
The approved Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund claims are:
- Temple & Temple Tours Inc.
Two claims to assist two consumers, totalling $330
To date, the Compensation Fund has assisted 626 consumers, totalling $137,332 in claims in relation to the closure of Temple & Temple Tours Inc.

The Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund is wholly financed by the industry to protect consumers who do not receive the travel services for which they paid, due to the insolvency or bankruptcy of an Ontario-registered travel agent or travel wholesaler or due to the cessation of an end supplier airline or cruise line. The Fund only covers consumers who have booked through an Ontario-registered travel agent. The Fund is administered by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, a not-for-profit corporation.
