With Bill 166, the Strengthening Protection for Ontario Consumers Act, 2017 passed in December of 2017 with amendments to the Travel Industry Act, 2002, the next phase of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (“Ministry”) comprehensive review will focus on Ontario Regulation 26/05 (“Regulation”).

During the comprehensive review of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 (“Act”) held in 2017, TICO prepared two submissions containing recommended proposals for future amendments to both the Act and Regulation.

TICO wishes to share its submissions made to the Ministry during the 2017 comprehensive review with all stakeholders to ensure they are informed.
