Closure List
Access the latest list of Ontario travel retailers and travel wholesalers that are no longer registered with TICO. In some cases, a closure may result in claims against the Compensation Fund.
Suspension List
If TICO has grounds to believe that an Ontario registered travel retailer or travel wholesaler contravenes the legislation or the terms of their registration, TICO may Temporarily Suspend their Registration. Consumers should not purchase travel services from any travel retailer or travel wholesaler while their registration with TICO is suspended. Advisories and Bulletins
TICO Advisories are released when issues arise that affect both consumers and industry alike such as closures where claims are expected against the Compensation Fund and any updates on changes to the legislation. Revocation List
If an Ontario registered travel retailer or travel wholesaler contravenes the legislation or the terms of their registration, TICO may propose to revoke their registration. Consumers should not purchase travel services from any travel retailer or travel wholesaler that is not registered with TICO. Charges and Conviction
TICO conducts investigations when it becomes apparent that there may have been a breach of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05. Investigations can result in charges being laid under the statute. Results of investigations are not a matter of public record, unless they escalate into a prosecution and charges are laid.
