Who We Are

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is an organization mandated by the Ontario government to administer the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05 which governs all of the approximately 2,400 travel retailers and travel wholesalers registered in Ontario. In addition, TICO administers an industry-financed Travel Compensation Fund.

Mission, Vision, Values

TICO's mandate is to support the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery's mission of maintaining a fair, safe and informed marketplace as it relates to the Travel Industry Act, 2002.  TICO has developed its own Vision, Mission and Values in support of meeting its mandate.

Board of Directors

TICO's Board of Directors consists of fifteen members comprised of individuals who are appointed by industry associations, appointed by the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery as well as elected by the industry at large.

Annual Report / Business Plan

The Travel Industry Council of Ontario prepares an Annual Report outlining its activities and performance, and provides a financial report for each fiscal year as well as develops a Business Plan setting out its accomplishments and business objectives.
