May 30, 2025 - TICO Board approves more than $106,000 in claims against the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund
Mississauga, ONT. – On April 29, 2025 and May 27, 2025, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO) Board of Directors approved 34 claims against the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund totalling $106,962 to assist 468 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.
The approved Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund claims are:
- Temple & Temple Tours Inc.
31 claims to assist 465 consumers, totalling $104,903

- Trip Support Inc.
Three claims to assist three consumers, totalling $2,059
The filing period for Compensation Fund claims related to Trip Support Inc. concluded on May 5, 2025.
The Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund is wholly financed by the industry to protect consumers who do not receive the travel services for which they paid, due to the insolvency or bankruptcy of an Ontario-registered travel agent or travel wholesaler or due to the cessation of an end supplier airline or cruise line. The Fund only covers consumers who have booked through an Ontario-registered travel agent. The Fund is administered by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, a not-for-profit corporation.
