Mississauga, ONT. – The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has charged Hoa Van (also known as Kevin) Ngo, operating as Itravel Hop, with one count of operating as a travel agent without being registered.

UPDATE: On February 15, 2024, Hoa Van Ngo was charged with a second count of operating as a travel agent without being registered.

It is alleged that Hoa Van Ngo sold travel without TICO registration, including a complainant who was left stranded abroad without return airfare.

Hoa Van Ngo will appear in court on October 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. at 950 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. in Mississauga, Ontario.

Individuals convicted in Court of offences relating to the Travel Industry Act, 2002 are subject to fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years. Corporations are subject to fines of up to $250,000.
