Toronto – Jorge Enrique Aroca and World Tours Int Inc. have been convicted on one count each of operating as a travel agent without registration contrary to section 4(1)(a) of the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002. World Tours Int Inc. operated in the greater Toronto Area.
Mr. Aroca was sentenced to seven days in jail and is subject to 2 year period of probation during which he cannot be employed in any capacity in the travel industry without receiving written consent from the Travel Registrar. World Tours Int Inc. received a suspended sentence.
