The retail registration for 2000 Tours Inc. o/a 2000 Tours Inc. located at 299 Spring Bank Drive, Unit 2, London, Ontario was voluntarily terminated under the Travel Industry Act, 2002 as of December 14, 2011. This company sold mainly bus tours to various destinations.
Consumers who have purchased travel services from 2000 Tours Inc. and who have not received the travel services purchased or may be at risk of not receiving travel services with future departures may file a claim with the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund for reimbursement. Please note that there is a legislated 6 month claim filing deadline. The filing deadline is June 15, 2012.
Consumers who paid by credit card should contact their credit card company and request a chargeback (refund) as well as request a claim form from TICO.
Filing a claim against the Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund:
Please note that there is a 6-month filing deadline from the date that 2000 Tours Inc ceased to carry on business. The filing deadline date is June 15, 2012. Claims received at TICO beyond the filing deadline date will not be valid. Therefore, it is important to submit your claim prior to the filing deadline. Should you not be able to obtain a chargeback (refund) from your credit card company or obtain all the documentation required in order to substantiate your claim in a timely manner,please submit your claim as is to ensure your claim is received prior to the deadline date. Any additional documentation that is required to complete the claim can be sent to TICO when it is obtained.
