TICO is not a government organization. TICO is a not-for-profit corporation that was delegated the responsibility to administer the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002 and industry-financed Compensation Fund.
Does TICO have more than one location in Ontario?

Does TICO sell travel services?
TICO does not sell travel services. TICO administers the Travel Industry Act, 2002 in the Province of Ontario.
Can TICO refer me to a reputable travel agency?
As TICO administers and enforces the Travel Industry Act, 2002 (the Act) and Regulation 26/05 that all registered Ontario travel retailers and travel wholesalers must adhere to, it can not refer consumers to any one particular registered company as this would be a conflict of interest. TICO encourages consumers to ensure that they purchase their travel services from Ontario registered travel retailers and travel wholesalers as they must adhere to the requirements under the Act and the Regulation which includes consumer protection legislation.Â
Can TICO advise me whether any consumer complaints have been received against a particular company?
TICO's records in relation to the administration and enforcement of the Act and the Regulation are confidential.
Can TICO advise me whether a travel company is registered under the Travel Industry Act, 2002 ?
Yes, you may contact our office to confirm whether a travel company is registered with TICO or use TICO's Registrant Search found on our website.
Can TICO provide information regarding entry requirements and travel documents required for a specific destination?
TICO is unable to provide this information, however, Ontario registered travel agents are required to provide this information for each passenger travelling when a consumer purchases travel services.
